Archeography!

New Brooklyn Gallery Catalyzes Avant-Garde Architecture

PHOTOGRAPHY BY JESSE ANDERS
In May, the Brooklyn gallery presented an installation executed in conjunction with the contemporary dance group, Movement Research, where dancers interacted with temporary, architectonic forms designed by Live Architecture Network and curated by McEwen.

Dr. Hesung Koh is amazingly 80

Something new everyday. Diaspora is my new vocab-word of the day and Dr. Hesung Koh is my inadvertent teacher. She is a mother of 6, founder of East Rock Institute and beautiful painter to say the least. I hope to see and her and her family again soon.

Dr. Hesung wrote...
"Dear Jesse,
You are incredible! All of us liked your friendliness and efficiency.
what an accomplishment to take the picture of the entire group of 130 people with such excellent result! We also appreciate the speed with which you prepared these photos."

Other famous Koh quotes

Denise & Anibal by Katie Dorn

Pictures taken by Katie Dorn at Denise & Anibal's wedding.
We both had a great time photographing in Central Park in May.

Central Park is Amazing

I feel like I barely had to touch the camera. The park, Alison and Philip did all the work.

Grand Entrance

Alison and Philip had a beautiful wedding at Tavern on the Green early this June. Amongst other moments, I just really wanted to show Alison's entrance to the tavern.

Singapore to NYC

Singaporeans are the best! Sheila, Darek and I spent a couple hours on Friday evening running around Brooklyn and Manhattan while taking photographs and enjoying the views. Turns out they have a one week in-home-quarantine upon returning to Singapore due to the swineflu scare. No, they don't have swineflu, but hopefully they are enjoying each others company :)

Yes, Darek has the bouquet!

Sorry Kate Moss... aka name drop name drop name drop

So, Sharon had a little run in with Kate Moss while choosing her wedding shoes (Sharon's shoes not Kate's). Evidently Sharon decided against Kate's taste after she was gone... so these are the Christian Louboutins that "Kate Moss didn't quite choose."

We drink champagne in the Oak Room.

Sharon & Darren - NYC Micro Tour Wedding
Katie Dorn and I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful couple back in March at the Plaza Hotel, the Oak Room, Central park and a few other ultra-excellent locations. We sort of got kicked out of 3 different spots in the Plaza Hotel by three different employees. Honestly, the Plaza staff was completely unclear on their own rules and regulations not to mention our bride and groom made vows to cause trouble together (or something along those lines), so we had to do it ;)

Winter Wedding

I had the chance to photograph Hsinmi and Fidel's wedding at St Patrick's Cathedral a couple weeks back. Here are some of my favorite images...
